ADHD/Executive Function Coaching
ADHD Coaching is a collaborative, action-oriented partnership designed to help people understand the impact ADHD may be having on their daily functioning and discover realistic tools and strategies to achieve greater personal satisfaction. As a Certified ADHD Coach, I have received training in Life Coaching, ADHD, and Executive Functions, the brain functions identified as responsible for many ADHD challenges. ADHD Coaches have a broad understanding of the ADHD brain and work with clients' challenges from an informed, non-judgmental and realistic perspective, recognizing that many of one's challenges are related to specific ADHD traits. With this mindset, the Coaching partnership can shed light on the root causes of many behaviors, better enabling the client to buy in to realistic strategies for change. In addition, as an ADHD Coach, I am informed not only on the challenges of ADHD, but have an awareness of the unique strengths that are also common traits of the ADHD brain. In our coaching work, we explore each client' individual strengths, often unrecognized or taken for granted. This recognition can guide those with ADHD towards activities which they can celebrate and utilize these skills.
